PIMA honors Kapstone CIO Deslandes with 2010 Technologist of the Year Award

NORCROSS, GA, April 12, 2010 (Press Release) - TAPPI and PIMA are pleased to announce the selection of Christophe Deslandes, vice president and chief information officer (CIO) of KapStone Paper and Packaging Corp., as recipient of the 2010 Technologist of the Year Award. Deslandes will receive the award during the PaperCon 2010 Conference in Atlanta, Ga., May 2-5, 2010.

After earning a B.S. in Business Administration and an M.B.A. from Northeastern University, Deslandes began his career as a management consultant at Symmetrix Inc. in 1989. In 1998, he joined magazine distributor Conceptions Un Ltd., where he served as CIO and acting operations manager. From 2000 to 2005, he was vice president and CIO at Uniscribe Professional Services, a business process outsourcer. He joined KapStone in 2007, two years after the company was formed.
